ARGENTINA WINS THE SOUTH AMERICAN GAMES

In spite of it being the country that more it conquered medals in the South American Games (302), Brazil finished the competition in the 4th placement, being overcome by Colombia in the last day of competitions.    

 

The owners of the house were the great winners with 107 medals of gold, 96 of silver and 93 of bronze, totaling 296. The Venezuelans were with the second position, having reached 98 titles, 85 second places and 101 bronze medals,totaling 284. 

 

Colombia won 97 medals of gold, a the more than the Brazilian ones, 72 of silver and 74 of bronze, in a total of 243. Brazil had 96 medals of gold, 105 of silver and 101 of bronze, being the only country to overcome the mark of 300 medals. 

    

The table tennis made a good campaign in the Games getting 11 medals to Brazil, being 3 ouros (masculine and feminine teams, masculine couple with Hugo Hoyama and Thiago Monteiro), 4 silvers (individual Lígia Silva and Gustavo Tsuboi, couples Cazuo Matsumoto/Gustavo Tsuboi and mixed couples Ligia Silva/Thiago Monteiro) and 4 bronzes (dulpas Mariany Nonaka/Ligia Silva, individual with Hugo Hoyama and Mariany Nonaka and in the mixed couples with Hugo Hoyama/Mariany Nonaka).
