The outcome of the Rio PanAM Expo 2005 - which hosted the 2nd Pan American Marketing and Sports Business Congress and the 2nd Pan American Sports and Business Fair - overcame the expectations of the organizers. On Friday, the second and last day of the event, the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) celebrated the final numbers of the event. During two days, Marina da Glória (Gloria's Marina), in Rio de Janeiro, received the visit of approximately three thousand people, who passed through 71 exhibiters' stands. The number of congressmen was above the expected, totalizing 773 people, between professionals and students. The Rio PanAm Expo is an event of the Brazilian Olympic Committee organized and promoted by Fagga Eventos (Fagga Events).

"The PanAm Expo 2005 was an absolute success, starting with the opening done by the President of the International Olympic Committee, the Belgium Jacques Rogge. In his first visit to Brazil as president of the COI, Rogge insisted on giving prestige to this important marketing and business event. Both the Fair and the Congress brought exhibiters and lectures of the highest international level, acting in a way that has already contributed for the development of the sports marketing and tourism branch in the Americas. The Rio 2007 Pan American Games will be a great opportunity for investors to become partners of this event that is the second largest of its kind in the world. The strength and the success of PanAm Expo, in its second edition, open possibilities for the event to become a tradition in the national calendar, happening even after RIO 2007", commented the President of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, Carlos Arthur Nuzman.

On the last day of the Pan American Marketing and Business Congress, the lectures were Carlos Roberto Osório ("Rio 2007 Pan American Gamer - Organization and Planning"), Leonardo Gryner ("Partnership with the Media"), Edson Kikushi ("Caixa Econômica Federal Case"), ray Whelan ("Sport Means Business"), Luis Fernando Lima (Sports Production and the Television - New Tendencies"), Richard Bunn "Sports Events - New Tendencies and Opportunities"), Darren Hughes ("Opportunities of Work in the Sports Area") and Craig McLatchey ("Tourism Legacy of the Great Sports Event - Sydney Case").
