BRASIL BEGINS PREPARATIONS FOR THE WORLD MASTERS
Por CBTM

On the 15th of August, the Brazilian Table Tennis Confederation - CBTM - has taken the first step towards the World Masters Championship, which will happen in 2008 in Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Antonio Carlos, from the Tamoyo Travel Agency, was with his team in the headquarters of the Confederation to celebrate the sinning of the contract of the event. CBTM's president, Alaor Azevedo, did a brief speech and Mr. Antonio Carlos rang the Bell of victory.
In May, Brazil won the tough dispute to hold the World Masters Championship in 2008 against the Dutch city Rotterdam. It will be the first time that the country is host to a World event and the second time that such an important event is held in South America (the other was the Youth Championship in Chile in 2003). The competition will count with more than 150 umpires, 7 thousand meters of special floor, 140 tables besides other impressive numbers of Riocentro's (venue) area.
