The table tennis player Edimilson Pinheiro (Amsted-Maxion), from Cruzeiro city, will take part in the Brazilian table tennis delegation that will dispute the World Tribute to Peace Games, which will happen in Rio de Janeiro from the 16th to 2nd of September. The athlete earned his spot in this competition after becoming Brazilian bi-champion in July.

This event is part of the International Paralympics calendar; therefore it is good for accumulating points for the international ranking. The level of technical skill of the tournament is supposed to be very high, because the best players of Asia will be in Rio.

"It will be really nice to take part in the World Games, because it is rare a rare opportunity for us, players, to participate of a stage of the World Circuit. That is why I want to make the most out of it, earn points and improve my technical skills", said Pinheiro.

Even though Edimilson has already classified for the World Championship in 2006, in Switzerland, the aim is to improve his position in the ranking in order to be in an easier group in Montreux.

Another stage of the World Circuit that Pinheiro might take part in is the Argentinean Open in November. Edimilson is counting on with the support of Amsted-Maxion to prepare himself for the competitions of the national and international circuit.
