KIM INOKCHI WINS LATIN TITLE "YELLING"

In the Brazilian 2003 Championship, disputed in São Paulo, the table tennis player Kim Inokuchi had already got the attention for her technical abilities and for her very unique way of celebrating. For each point done, she yelled in a very high pitched and unusual voice. And, yelling and striking, Kim nailed the title of cadet champion in the II Latin Cup.

 

In the event held in Guarujá, Kim was the great champion after defeating in the final match of the only group the Colombian player Laura Molina 3 sets to 1 (11-8, 6-11, 11-8 and 11-6).

 

"The level of the tournament is very good and I'm glad for overcoming a foreign player in the final", said Kim.

 

To get to the title, Kim went through Lívia Mizobushi in 3 sets to 0, and then she won 3 to 1 Paula Katarina and decided the championship with the Colombian player after beating Karin Fukushima by 3 sets to 2.

 

With this result the bronze medals went to the also Brazilian players Karin Fukushima and Livia Mizobushi.
